JUST SWALLOW IT

It was Wednesday night when I discovered that my wireless router has malfunctioned. It was quick coz a friend was here for about an hour, and was able to access the internet, but when he left, it wont connect.

So I asked A to check if it's "ON". Later on we decided to declare it dead... Na Da... De Do...

So @ 11pm, I phoned my favourite call centre which is AOL's call centre (I have posted some annoying experiences I had with them some time ago). I know they close at 12. I know I was calling India, or was it Pakistan? But it was somewhere with their accent.

And what do you know.. It was Mr. Kaur(?) or was it Kerr? I forgot actually. Here's the details:

After 5 minutes of statutory intro and answering basic infos...

AOL's Indian Call Centre Agent: " What is wrong with your AOL Mr. _____?"

KJ: "Blah... Blah... Blah... My router is not working, there are no lights. It wont turn on"

AOL: "What does AOL say on your screen?"

KJ: " How can AOL say anything on my screen? I cannot connect to the net coz my router is dead!"

AOL: "Right. Please try calling NetGear. Here's their number"

Absolutely Brilliant! Just what I need. After 15 minutes, The solution is via another premium number...

Fortunately for us, our neighbours' networks are unsecured so I have been stealing them. But in this room where I am now, the available networks are all "secured". I tried connecting to one network and I PLAYFULLY typed the word "Birmingham" as password to her account, and I got connected! That freaked me out a bit, but I dont mind.

I was not given any choice, I was commanded to call NetGear, so I did. After 30 minutes of non-sense conversation (in a Premium number rate) + £20 fee, I will receive my new router tomorrow, so that'll make my day again.

If I have to be a call centre agent for a day, that would be me....

My life has been pointless so I am happy with little things. I am disillusioned.

I am deprived of my emotions. I no longer can differentiate compliments from back stab.

I always say to keep your friends close, and your enemies closer....

But why get closed with an enemy... Why not terminate him from the start?

The last few days my delusional mind has been thinking a lot....

The last few days I am always tired, but with an alert mind; I cant sleep without chemical help...

Lately, I have been realizing a lot... An overview of my past, surviving my present and where my future takes me; and with whom.

What will be said in my Eulogy?

What would my funeral be like?

Should I wear jeans @ work on Monday?

So many questions....
(Have you noticed that my PC is off? and Im actually wearing a headphone)

On Thursday morning, I am domesticated. I cleaned the house, threw the garbage, did the laundry, I also contacted Birmingham City Hospital for my health appointment (and that would be on September).

At noontime I decided to go to the gym. On my way I sensed that someone was following/watching me. I looked back to check if Im being followed, but aside from that old woman who had heavy make up on (I thought it was Amy Winehouse), I'm safe. I am already paranoid, but that incident yesterday increased my paranoia.

In the gym, Chinese PT was there. He smiled at me, I smiled at him back. This has been the case since July. Maybe this is a normal conversation for Chinese people. Maybe smiling is already a complete sentence for Chinese people.

Chinese PT (physiotherapist) is tall, but not really tall; He is thin, but not really thin; He looks young, but not too young. I hope you get what he looks like.

Like me he wears eyeglasses; Like me he has straight black hair; Like me he is always talking to some other creatures in his mobile. Maybe he is my twin? Maybe I am Chinese afterall...

After 2 hours of punishing myself with all those weights and my muscles could no longer scream "murder", I decided to go home.

Tonight I have made garlic bread, and my fave: Spag noodles with tuna, chillis and Olives.

And my daily reminder, after reading this post>>>>> Please dont forget to vote in my Poll. It will help maintain the ceasefire in Georgia and Russia.

It is actually 1:30am now.

@ boying: Ur making the obvious MORE obvious. lol. I also think those chaos, but Im just pre-occupied with whether to wear jeans or not on Monday.

It's not being shallow. It is called "planning".

@ WC: guess what... The router they sent me is not working as well.. So I phone AOL then Netgear again. argh!!!!

They reckon it's the electrical wire that is not working.

@ erin: thanks for visiting. Re: Blog, that depends actually... lol.

I voted and the war hasn't stop yet. This is a flop Kris. Haha kidding.

Russia has already ordered a ceasefire.

Indian agents really pisses me off. I called once in a DELL support and all they can give me is an Indian agent that eats all his words while talking.

sorry, but at the very least, with common sense, you could have called netgear first. unless if it was aol who gave the router to you that you can say they will be the one to replace it, since it's already dead.. hihihi

actually sometimes i was wondering if the customer i am walking through on the phone is even doing the steps i tell him/her to do.

@ JBA: I paid £20 so that they'd deliver it the next day. But the item was actually free.

@ the menace: I was referring to that poll widget which I first saw in your site.

@ ifoundme: I agree.

@ lance: AOL sent me that router as part of the package, so I phoned them first.
